My current research interests reside in the study of linear and non-linear optical properties of organic molecules, environmental effects on biological chromophores, optical and magnetic properties of transition metal clusters and endohedral silicon cages, and topological insulators.

I am also involved in the development of scientific software: a relativistic atomic solver and pseudo-potential generator (APE - atomic pseudo-potential engine), and a code that solves the (time-dependent) Kohn-Sham equations in order to obtain the response of an electronic system to an external perturbation (octopus).
