Exotic matter inside neutron stars

Abstract: A brief review on how the equation of state of stellar matter may affect the neutron star properties will be given. In particular, the possible onset of hyperons, a kaon condensate, or a quark phase will be referred. The importance of considering a unified EOS for the crust and core will also be discussed.
